Program Overview

Whether running the main roads or riding the trails, motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles have always been symbols of freedom and adventure. Motorcycle technicians find their own career freedom and adventure, keeping these machines in tip-top shape for their owners. Whether you love to ride or you're looking for a different path for your mechanical abilities, training as a motorcycle technician could put you on an open road of career possibilities.  Your career could include working on all kinds of equipment and small engines, from motorcycles to outboard motors and garden tractors.
 
In our Motorcycle Repair program, you'll learn to diagnose and repair motorcycle systems, including two and four-stroke engines, carburetion, fuel injection, and electrical systems. You'll work on a variety of different equipment from brand-name manufacturers in our fully equipped workshop, and you'll graduate and be ready to start working in just one year. Duration

The requirements for this certificate program may be achieved within one academic year of full-time study.

    Motorcycles are used all over the world, and skilled service technicians are needed to keep them running. Graduates often find work in dealerships, working on specific brands and advancing their knowledge of that manufacturer's lineup of products.
     
    With the popularity of customized bikes, technicians also find opportunities with specialty builders and performance shops or start shops of their own. Because small engines power so many things, technicians are not limited to motorbikes. Our graduates can fix almost anything, and some graduates find opportunities working on everything from industrial equipment such as forklifts to snowblowers, lawn equipment, and more.
