Duration:The requirements for this certificate will be met upon successful completion of the required courses. The program will normally be available through on-line delivery intended for, but not limited to, part-time students.
Program Description

Do friends and family turn to you when planning their next bash? Do you have a sharp eye for detail and a knack for organization? If so, the Event Management program is where you need to be. Learn to develop and execute a comprehensive plan covering the finance, marketing and imaginative elements needed to make a great event. Learn to take the lead in the planning and presentation of events. Test your hand at managing trade shows, conferences, festivals or other entertainment formats. Master the creation of an event management plan, which may include risk management, financial planning and other significant details to ensure a safe, effective and financially viable event.

  • High School Diploma or Adult High School Diploma or GED Diploma of High School Equivalency
Career Possibilities

Event Management is a combined set of abilities often required by individuals employed in government, business and community organizations. The following job titles are examples of event management positions: conference planner, conference services manager, convention coordinator, event planner, festival organizer, meeting planner, special events organizer and trade show planner.
