Students With Disabilities

NBCC is for everyone. Our goal is to make sure all students have the opportunity to access appropriate and viable training opportunities.

Our locations are equipped with the latest assistive technology. Wherever possible, we make every effort to be a fully-accessible institution. We can accommodate those with mobility impairments, learning disabilities, psychiatric disabilities, as well as those who are visually and hearing impaired.

If you have a disability you feel may create a barrier to achieving your potential, we encourage you to share your experience with us before you arrive so we can work to respond to your specific needs. We want to make sure you have access to Student Services professionals who can help you achieve your academic potential.

Self-identificationPlease make us aware of your disability-related needs as soon as possible by contacting the College Admissions Service at 1-888-796-NBCC. Your information will be confidential in accordance with the New Brunswick Protection of Personal Information Act.

The College Admissions Service will communicate with your campus in order to set up reasonable and appropriate academic and service accommodations. It is important that you disclose your disability-related needs before registration, so your campus can help you achieve the skills you need, barrier-free, in a timely manner. For additional information, contact the Central Admissions Service or Student Services at the NBCC location of your choice.

Barrier-free accessOur objective is to provide barrier-free access to all required areas and services. The support services at each location may vary depending on the identified need and availability of resources.

Disability Awards

When you make the decision to enrol at NBCC, we want to ensure you have barrier-free access to, not only support services within NBCC, but also to resources available beyond the college. Disability Awards is an organization that advocates for increased accessibility, equal access and the successful transition from high school to college through a number of scholarships and awards.
