This course will provide the student with an understanding of the legal aspects of the employment relationship and the respective responsibilities of the employer and employee. 

Topics will include:.

• The employer/employee relationship
• Federal and provincial legislation
• Communicating payroll compliance requirements to stakeholders

The first course towards certification from the Canadian Payroll Association on successful completion of the association exam.  (Certification requires an introduction to Accounting course, ie. GACG1050 in addition to payroll courses).
