Program DescriptionThis service provides the client, in the heavy construction equipment operation sector and their employee(s), with the information and individual operator evaluation/audit, which will establish operator COMPETENCY. Operators will demonstrate skills and knowledge in the operation of specific equipment during this audit.
Topics include:
Where formal education and training have not been a part of the equipment operators credentials, this program will:
Meet the test of due diligence in the workplace for the company, the supervisor and the equipment operator;
Provide the employee(s) with the credentials that will identify their competency in the skills and knowledge of the operation of individual pieces of equipment.
Provide the client with a third party audit of the skills, knowledge and operational abilities of their employee(s).
Admission RequirementsThe Employer identifies groups of equipment operators for competency evaluation;
The NBCC Auditor will perform a 1-2 hour group presentation at a location identified by the Company;
The Employer will provide the NBCC Auditor with a matrix of their equipment operators showing operator names and the equipment on which they will be evaluated;
The NBCC Auditor and the Company will agree on a schedule and location of audits;
The NBCC Auditor will perform audits with each operator, including:
Operator responsibilities;
Operator safe practices;
Perform a verbal, multiple choice test;
Perform a practical audit of operational tasks.

Fees and Requirements
Tuition: $175 per participant audit. A participant that is evaluated on 2 machines is $350, etc. Employer groups smaller than 14 may be subject to a travel surcharge.
