 Barbara McClenaghan – Miramichi

“NBCC is an opportunity for our population to get an education that will find them employment,” says Barb McClenaghan.

A career in human resources with much volunteer experience on the side makes McClenaghan an important asset to NBCC’s Board of Governors. She worked in HR with health care for 25 years before getting hired at Northumberland in 1992 in a similar role. In addition to her career, she has served on a number of other boards including the New Brunswick Safety Council, which is now called Safety Services NB, and the Miramichi Regional Development Corporation, which is now referred to as Enterprise Miramichi.

McClenaghan believes NBCC is important to post-secondary education in New Brunswick as it offers hands on training which is very attractive to potential employers.  Graduates enter the workforce equipped with the skills they need to succeed. She recognizes the importance of working with organizations to find out what their needs are so NBCC continues to offer the right programming.
