How to Apply
Follow these steps to apply to NBCC:
- Submit your application for admission (by telephone, by fax, by Internet or by mail). International students will submit the International Student form.
- Mandatory - Pay the $25.00 application fee for each program (maximum of two) / $100 CAD for an international student. Attach or forward a cheque or money order made payable to the "Minister of Finance".
- Mandatory - Submit all official high school, college and/or university transcripts of marks. It is important that your transcripts of marks demonstrate that you meet or are in the process of meeting the admission requirements. Please note: We will accept your grade 11 transcript until your grade12 transcript is available
- Optional - a letter of reference of related employment indicating duration and type of employment (if applicable).
- International Students - additional information
- Students from Maine - Residents of Maine are eligible for domestic tuition rates while studying at NBCC ($2,600 CAD for 30 credits or 1 year of study).

Admission Requirements
Do you qualify for admissions to NBCC?
It is never too early or too late to apply for admission.
Some basic requirements:
- Obtained or be working towards: a New Brunswick High School Diploma, or from another province, and recognized by the Department of Education or the equivalent.
- Successfully completed or be in the process of completing the prerequisite courses according to the admission profile for your chosen program (refer to the "Admission Requirements" section for each program).
- Transcript of marks from the public high schools indicating a modified level will require addtional evaluation.
- Submit a satisfactory medical and immunization report;
- Submit proof that the applicant will turn 18 during the first year of registration (for the Academic Studies Program); Participate in information, orientation, interview, or testing sessions;
- Successfully complete, at the required level, a second language proficiency test, written and spoken, administered by the campus;
- Submit the results of a criminal record check through the Canadian Police Information Centre.
English Language Requirements for International Students
We want our students to be able to fully participate in all NBCC educational activities. Therefore, you must be able to demonstrate adequate competence in English. Find the information you need on English Language Proficiency Requirements
If you do not meet the English language requirements for admission to NBCC programs, we will submit your name for enrollment to the University of New Brunswick Saint John College in the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program. Saint John College will send you a letter of acceptance for the EAP within two weeks. You will be able to begin your NBCC academic program when you have successfully demonstrated English competency in the EAP program.

Programs & Courses
You may choose up to two programs when applying to NBCC.

With course-based programs, you can register for individual courses as long as they meet the admission requirements and are admissible to a post-secondary education program. When these courses lead to a certification, the colleges or the campuses may require that the application for admission respect the elements of an admission profile.

Services
First Qualified - First Accepted
Complete applications (includes the application, the appropriate transcript of marks (high school, GED, Adult high school, etc. and the application fee) will be considered as they are received as long as the candidate meets or is in the process of meeting the admission requirements. For administrative purposes, complete applications received on or before November 1st will be dated as of November 1st. If the number of applications exceeds the number of seats, a selection will be made among the candidates. Where a selection is required, selection is based on the average of specific subjects on your transcript(s).
Selection of Out-of-Province Applications
New Brunswick applicants have the priority for NBCC seats until March 1 of each year. Thereafter, candidates will be assigned seats as they become available, whether the applicant is from New Brunswick or out-of-province. However, in programs where the number of applications does not exceed the number of seats, out-of-province applicants may be considered before March 1 at the discretion of the College Admissions Service.

Did you know?
- We evaluate your application based on your High School transcript of marks.
- The College Admissions Service starts processing applications as of November 1st of each year.
- Applications and waiting lists are not kept from one year to the next. Therefore, you must submit a new complete application each year.
- An applicant may apply for two (2) programs only per academic year. Both choices will be processed. If the applicant is accepted into the preferred choice, the second choice will automatically be cancelled. If the applicant is admitted into the sencond choice and confirms by paying the deposit (confirmation) fee and a seat becomes availbale in the preferred choice, the applicant will be given a one-time option to make a program change at no cost. If the confirmation fee had not yet been paid and the applicant chooses to change he will have thirty (30) days to confirm the change.
Appeals
Candidates may appeal any decision on an application by submitting a notice of appeal, in writing, to the Director of the College Admissions Services within thirty (30) days of the said decision.

Tuition & Fees
- What can you expect to pay? $2600 per year
- Application Fee (non-refundable & not part of tuition fee) $25 per program
- Confirmation Fee (non-refundable, due within 30 days of acceptance and applied to tuition) $250
- Tuition (2nd payment – due at registration) $1050
- Tuition (3rd payment – due at start of 2nd semester) $1300
The fees and expenses for International students have been established for the current year. Students have several payment options available to pay their applicaton, confirmation, health insurance and tuition fees. Students should also refer to the refund policy as required.
