Department Overview

The Business Department at NBCC Moncton Campus is proud to offer a fully wireless, mobile computing learning experience. NBCC Moncton continually strives to evolve in the area of business administration and technology in order to graduate students who are able to meet the employability skills profile of the Conference Board of Canada and become innovate and contributing members of the business community.

Partners

The Business Department, and NBCC Moncton's training consultants, work closely with other government departments and programs including the Department of Investment and Exports, and the Enterprise Greater Moncton to provide training to new and existing businesses in the province.

Specialty Programs

In order to provide practical experience for our students, the college works with industry to carry out marketing campaigns for various organizations. Some campaigns involved organizations such as: the United Way, Kidney Foundation, Cancer Society, Co-op Atlantic, The Moncton Hospital, Greater Moncton Boys and Girls Clubs, and local radio stations.

Customized training programs have been provided to various companies including Dun & Bradstreet, Red Cross, Family and Community Services, Amigo TM, Bureau of Broadcast Measurements, Pepsi Cola, and the Moncton Hospital.

Accreditation

Graduates of the Business Administration options may be eligible for credit in the Certified Management Accountant and Certified General Accountant Programs at various universities as well as through the Institute of Canadian Bankers.

The Certified General Accountants Association and the Society of Management Accountants at both the provincial and national levels continue to grant our Accounting graduates a significant number of exemptions from their course curricula.

Graduates of the NBCC two-year Business Administration program may transfer into the third year of Business Administration, a four-year degree program at University College of Cape Breton, Athabasca University, Atlantic Baptist University, and University of New Brunswick - Saint John Campus.

Staff

The staff members, specialists in their fields with many years of experience, hold designations and/or degrees in marketing, accounting, and business.
